There's a reason the Cro-Mags are still talked about in the same breath as the bands that built hardcore. The Age of Quarrel landed in 1986 like a concrete slab, dragging metal and street punk into a New York City crossover that nobody had figured out how to do yet, and most still can't.

This poster is for people who know the difference between hardcore and what gets called hardcore now. The Cro-Mags were the real thing, all aggression and philosophy and genuine Lower East Side menace, and this belongs on the wall of anyone flying the flag for punk and alternative culture that actually meant something.
