Finland produces black metal the way the rest of the world produces excuses, and Cold Prophet are working in that tradition with considerably more menace than the genre average.

Intentio Exitus sits at the intersection of black metal, ambient, death, and industrial, which on paper sounds like a mood board and in practice sounds like a slow descent through something you shouldn't have opened. The Finnish underground has always had a talent for making dark aesthetic music feel genuinely hostile rather than performative, and Cold Prophet fit neatly alongside labelmates and scene contemporaries doing serious work in that space. The digipak format does justice to what is clearly a considered piece of work rather than just another blastbeat delivery vehicle.
