Debut album I lands somewhere in the void between black metal, death metal, ambient and industrial, which is exactly the kind of genre address that means this record doesn't get played at parties but does get played alone at 2am with the lights off. There's a density to it, a deliberate suffocating quality that Finnish extreme metal has always done better than almost anyone. If you've been digging through underground dark aesthetic metal releases and find the well-known names too tame, this is the kind of find that makes the dig worth it.
