CKY The Phoenix CD Digipak (2017)

CKY never quite got the credit they deserved, which is exactly the kind of thing CKY would find funny. While their name got dragged through a million Jackass clips, the band was quietly making some of the most interesting alternative metal of the early 2000s, all angular riffs and genuinely weird atmosphere.

The Phoenix, released in 2017, was their comeback record after a messy decade of lineup drama and a long silence. Deron Miller back at the helm, leaning into the heavy side of things, and it lands. If you knew CKY from Volume 1 or Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild, this is worth your time. If you only know them from the skate videos, you're in for something darker and better than you expected. The digipak packaging keeps it looking clean on the shelf.
