Pittsburgh's CODC spent their career sitting at the ugliest intersection of brutal death metal and grindcore, and this 2005 full length is them in full force, no concessions, no introductory handshake. Think Brutal Truth's controlled demolition energy crossed with grind's absolute disregard for your wellbeing. Joe Horvath's vocal approach alone is a case study in extremity, and the band matches that intensity note for note. Not an easy listen. That's the point. If your dark aesthetic runs toward the punishing end of the spectrum, this belongs in the collection.
