Chrome Division is Shagrath's side step away from symphonic black metal grandeur into straight-up hard rock degeneracy, and Internal Rock Eternal is the band at full swagger. Think biker bar aesthetics, big riffs, and zero interest in being tasteful. It's the kind of album that makes sense if you've ever found yourself equally at home with black metal and classic heavy rock, which if you're shopping here, you probably have. Norway producing a record this gloriously Texas-fried is its own kind of cultural chaos, and that's exactly the appeal.
