Are You Dead Yet? is the album where Children of Bodom stopped being Finland's best-kept secret and started being everyone's problem. Released in 2005, it stripped back the baroque keyboard theatrics and went straight for the throat, a leaner, meaner COB that hit harder than anything they'd done before and divided their fanbase in the best possible way.

Alexi Laiho is gone now, which makes anything bearing the Children of Bodom name carry a little more weight than it used to.
