The Chalcosoma caucasus is the kind of creature that makes you reconsider the entire concept of intimidation. One of the largest beetles on the planet, the male wields three dramatic horns it uses to wrestle rivals off branches in the rainforests of Southeast Asia, which is either metal as hell or a nature documentary waiting to happen, depending on your afternoon. The jet-black exoskeleton has that deep, almost iridescent sheen that looks like it was built for the dark aesthetic wall of someone who takes their horror and macabre interests seriously.
