Stripped back to the funeral-pace sludge of their earliest material, Lee Dorrian and company ditched the psychedelic detours of mid-era Cathedral and delivered something genuinely heavy, mournful, and uncompromising. If you came in through Forest of Equilibrium this will feel like coming home. If you came in through the more accessible middle records, buckle up. Stoner doom at its most deliberate and dark, the kind of thing you play loud on a grey Melbourne afternoon when you want the walls to feel closer.
