Carnifex have been doing what they do since 2005, melodic brutality, gothic darkness woven into deathcore, and a refusal to apologise for how heavy it gets. They sit in that sweet spot between atmospheric dread and pure sonic punishment, which is probably why they've outlasted half the genre.
