BOLZER Soma MLP (2014)

If Roman Acupuncture was the arrival, Soma was the confirmation that Bölzer weren't going anywhere, and that what they were doing had no obvious ceiling.

Two tracks, both enormous. The Swiss duo pushed further into something that resists easy genre tagging, the black metal atmosphere is there, the death metal weight is there, but there's also a kind of ancient, ritualistic gravity that pulls the whole thing into its own orbit. The underground was already obsessed by this point, and for good reason. On 140g vinyl with the metallic silver and copper treatment, this is an object worth owning alongside a record worth hearing properly loud.
