Bodyjar occupy a specific place in the Australian punk timeline. They were the band your older sibling had on CD in the late nineties, and Role Model is the record that reminded everyone why that still mattered. Fast, melodic, punchy alternative rock with the kind of riff economy that No Fun At All or Ten Foot Pole would respect. No filler, no pretension, just a band who understood the assignment and had been doing it since before most of the current scene were born.
