Australian grindcore doesn't ask for your permission. Blame Your Gods have been terrorising the local scene with a sound that sits somewhere between Napalm Death's early brutality and the melodic death metal sharpness of At The Gates, and their self-titled 2025 album is the document that proves they were right to be loud about it.

This is the kind of record that gets made when a band has nothing left to prove and everything left to say. Grind/melodic death is a brutal tightrope to walk, too much melody and you've lost the teeth, too much grind and it's just noise, but Blame Your Gods land it. Local press has been paying attention. So have we. Australian underground metal deserves better than being a footnote, and this is the kind of release that argues the case.
