Say what you like about Black Veil Brides, and people certainly have, but they handed a generation of teenagers the visual language of glam metal and gothic rock at a moment when mainstream music had completely abandoned them. That matters.

BVB carved out a very specific lane: war paint, big riffs, anthems about outcasts finding their people. It's Alice Cooper filtered through Hot Topic mythology and stadium-sized hooks, and for a lot of people in the alternative scene this was the entry point, the band that led them deeper into the dark. Wearing the tee now is part nostalgia, part reclamation. This belongs at ALT CVLT because we don't gatekeep the gateway bands.
