Love them or have opinions about them, Black Veil Brides kept the eyeliner-and-theatrics side of alternative fashion alive during years when rock radio had largely given up. Andy Biersack and crew built a devoted scene out of outsiders, and that scene is real and it is loyal.

BVB occupy a specific corner of the gothic punk world, somewhere between glam metal excess and mall-goth sincerity, and they wore it without apology.
