BLACK STAR RIDERS Heavy Fire (2017) CD

A guitar army, bringing the heavy fire.

Black Star Riders grew out of the later Thin Lizzy lineup, with Ricky Warwick on vocals and Scott Gorham's trademark twin guitar harmonies front and centre. Heavy Fire, their third album, was produced by Nick Raskulinecz and released through Nuclear Blast in February 2017. From the title track's opening riff to the hooks of When the Night Comes In and the dirty bass groove of Thinking About You Could Get Me Killed, it's classic hard rock made with real swagger. Damon Johnson's guitar and the Warwick and Johnson songwriting partnership give the record its punch, while Gorham keeps the Lizzy lineage alive. It's an album built for loud car stereos and long drives.
