ALIENS Soundtrack 35th Anniversary RSD (LP) Vinyl

Game over, man, but also, somehow, here it is on vinyl. James Horner's Aliens score is one of the most relentlessly propulsive soundtracks in science fiction history, a wall of military percussion and creeping dread that does half the work of convincing you those xenomorphs are genuinely your problem now.

This Record Store Day 35th Anniversary pressing comes on "Acid-Blood" yellow-green vinyl, which is either a coincidence or the most on-brand colour choice in RSD history. The original soundtrack has been out of print long enough that this reissue matters. Horner's work here sits comfortably alongside Goldsmith's Alien score in the canon of horror and sci-fi soundtrack greatness, and it belongs in any collection that takes the dark aesthetic of the genre seriously. Melbourne alternative and horror fans have been waiting on this one.
