Before AFI were the band your older sibling argued about in 2003, they were a scrappy Ukiah hardcore punk outfit with a horror fixation and a debut album that most people never got to hear on vinyl until now.

Answer That and Stay Fashionable came out in 1995 on Nitro Records, back when Davey Havok was still mostly screaming and the gothic undertones that would define the band's later work were just starting to bleed through the edges. It's fast, it's short, it's legitimately fun, and it captures a band in the moment before they knew they'd become something much larger. This first-ever LP pressing is completely remastered and includes the bonus track Open Your Eyes, making it the definitive version of a record that deserved proper treatment a long time ago. If you know the band only from Sing the Sorrow forward, this one is a different animal, closer to The Descendants than anything dark or gothic, but essential history either way.
