Released in 1975 and recorded with the kind of loose, road-tested confidence you can't fake, this is hard rock at its most physical. Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion became radio staples so embedded in the culture that it's easy to forget how raw they sound on record. The rest of the album, Big Ten Inch Record, Uncle Salty, Adam's Apple, holds up just as well. This is the blueprint that Guns N' Roses, the Black Crowes and half the hard rock revival of the late 80s was built on, whether they admitted it or not.
