Unlike a labret, which sits below the lip, an Ashley piercing goes directly through the centre of the bottom lip itself, exiting at the back into the mouth. It's a single-point surface piercing, which means it's one of the more anatomically specific placements we do, and one of the most visually direct. No hardware visible from the inside, just a clean entry point front and centre. It sits perfectly in the dark aesthetic and gothic piercing space without needing any explanation.
