Psychobilly never really went mainstream, and that is precisely the point. The London scene of the mid-80s had its own rules, its own venues, its own gravity, and Skitzo were part of the inner circle from day one, formed in 1985 and immediately at home in the same grimy orbit as The Meteors and Demented Are Go.

Skitzo Mania is the band doing exactly what psychobilly does best: slap bass locked in with a motorik pulse, rockabilly bones cracked open and stuffed with horror imagery and street-level grit. This is a 2024 reissue, which means a whole new generation of creepers-and-drape kids gets to find out what the fuss was about.
